We offer two kinds of business listings: basic and premium. The basic listing is free and includes your company name, address, and phone number. For $29.95 per year, the premium listing adds the following to the basic listing: a company description, photo, website link, and map info.

Review Policy
To ensure that the business listing service is not abused, basic listings will not be posted to the site until they have been reviewed. All submissions will be reviewed on a nightly basis. Premium listings will be automatically approved upon payment completion, but are still subject to review. While this may seem geared towards paying customers and an incentive to purchase a premium listing, the reason is not so diabolical. We have found that people who may abuse the system, specifically spammers, won't spend any money in their endeavors.

Having said that, all listings will be reviewed, paid or otherwise. We would deem the following unacceptable:

Adult Related
Spam Posting - linking to pay-per-click site
Out-of-Area business - must have a presence in the community
Any other offensive language

In the ten+ years we have operated community sites, the number of listings we have had to refuse has been extremely low. However, if we didn't state it here, someone would complain.

In the case of obvious spammers, we will note their IP address and ban them from posting again. For everyone else, we will contact the individuals that have posted a questionable listing and give them an opportunity to fix it. And for the other 99% of you, you will have nothing to worry about.

Nightly Builds
Upon review of all new listings, portions of the site, especially the business listings, are rebuilt. Although all listings are saved in a database, static pages are generated from that data to ensure the fastest delivery of pages and search engine friendliness. Because these builds can take time and possibly impact the overall response of the site, we conduct the process in the evening.
